Modern

Modern dance developed in the 20th century as a form of rebellion against the rigid formalism of classical ballet.  Modern has a rich history and continues to thrive as a developing art form.  NYAB embraces the traditional techniques of the modern dance world including Graham, Horton, and Limon while also encouraging the future development of emerging young artists.
